A story of Injustice in my life happened when I was watching a live football game on Thursday Night Football. It was the Cleveland Browns playing the Pittsburg Steelers, and Cleveland was winning late in the fourth quarter. With one last shot of trying to get some momentum going, the Pittsburg offense came onto the field. Then starting quarterback Mason Rudolph dropped back to pass, and with heavy pressure dumped the ball of just before getting sacked. As the camera zoomed away the announcer recognized that there was some quarreling going on where Rudolph was tackled. As the camera focuses in on the ruckus, one of the players, Myles Garrett, yes on live television, rips Rudolph helmet off of his head and begins to swing the helmet until it strikes the top of Rudolph’s head. And I thought helmets were suppose to be for protection…not weapons. All in all, this was a form of injustice because the play was over and Myles Garrett took his anger much farther than the whistle and put a players health at stake. These players are fathers and sons to families and to put a players health and possible life at stake, that is a problem and indefinitely a form of injustice.
Overall, this can show that the feeling of unfairness in an unjust situation can cause someone to have a sense of powerlessness.
